Peer Group
Supervision
I run a peer group which
meets quarterly in Normanton, just five minutes drive from junction 31 of
the M62..
Each meeting lasts around two
hours and includes
-
information about (and
reviews of) courses, further training and C.P.D.
-
an opportunity to discuss
challenging cases with more experienced therapists
-
discussion time - we normally
pick a topic or technique to examine in detail, or we may invite a speaker
or stage a demonstration
These meetings are organised
through the G.H.R., but therapists from other professional bodies and
hypnotherapy trainees from any training school are also welcome.
There is a small charge to cover
electricity, tea, coffee etc.
Interested? Please
contact me.
The next meeting is on September
12th at The Loft Complementary Therapies in Normanton.
We'll have a speaker on
Benefits Management. BM is a goal setting technique that can help you decide
where your business should be going and what you need to do to get it there.
It can also be adapted to help clients set and reach personal
or therapeutic goals.
One to one
Supervision
It is a requirement of most
professional hypnotherapy associations that new therapists undertake
supervision. Newly qualified
Practitioners registered with the G.H.R. are
expected to engage in this beneficial process for
a minimum of 2 hours in any 3 month period during
their first 2 years of
practice after qualification.
I am now listed by the G.H.R.
as a one to one supervisor and can offer this service by telephone, email or
face to face for newly qualified therapists. Please
enquire for further details.
C.P.D./Training
Days
Following the success of the course in Wakefield in
February 2008, I plan to run one or two training days a year in the
Yorkshire area. If you would like to be notified about these courses, please
email me.
Scripts/Articles
I'm developing a library of
articles, scripts and techniques which I shall publish here when I have
time.
You'd be welcome to send
along anything you've written: scripts, metaphors or original adaptations to
techniques you've learned.
Please don't send scripts from other authors which I cannot publish due to copyright issues.
